Wracks

These were an experiment in painting a rusty effect. I wasn't sure how I was going to do it and experimented a little to try and get this effect. I painted the actual wracks and the figures on them separately, pinned the figures at the cuffs at their hands and feet, then glued the figures and wracks together after everything was painted. I used super sculpy to make the dirt mounds.
 I started by  basing the wracks in a bright silver, then applied chestnut ink to the whole model. I then made a wash using doombull brown and future floor polish and washed the whole model. I applied two more washes to just the crevices and low areas of the model mixing in a little bit of blazing orange the first time and a lot of blazing orange for the second wash. Lastly I went back and drybrushed very sparingly with silver. I think the effect came out well.

Her Holy Epicness

Back when I was thinking of getting into Warmachine I was looking through the different factions; their fluff, artwork, table top play styles, etc. and one of the models that stood out to me most was Harbinger of Menoth. That model was one of the reasons I decided on Protectorate. So finally here she is in all her epicness.

Machinations League at Clockwork Comics

I've been really enjoying the Privateer Press Machinations league at my local game shop, Clockwork Comics. We have a really great group of people who play Warmachine/Hordes. Here are some pix from Monday's games.

Grand Scrutator Severius

Finally, I can play with a new caster. I've been playing with only prime Kreoss since I got into Warmachine about 8 months ago. I've been trying to get everything painted before purchasing anymore models, so that's why I've been stuck with Kreoss for so long. Played my first few games with Severius and I'm loving the change of pace. Anyways, here he is.
