Just can't beat the Vassal for 2 points in my POM army and often want two. Problem solved.

Legion Heavy Beast Kit WIP
Been working on my Legion force; making a priority of getting my beasts finished. Did a little repose on the heavy beast plastic kit and mounted it up on some "rocks" I made out of blue foam. The arms and heads have been magnetized so I can use it as a Carnivean, Scythean, or Ravagore. I'm doing the same with the Carnivean that came with the 2 player battlebox.

Custom Miniature Transport Case
I've never liked the idea of foam carrying bags for my miniatures so when I had to face the inevitable dilemma of transporting my miniatures, I decided to magnetize everything and use a custom made case.I seriously considered just dropping the cash on a Tablewar case as they ARE beautiful and nicely functional but they cost a small fortune. Below is what I've settled on and works beautifully.
I used this case (pictured below) for about a year and a half without any major problems. I made it from a case that housed a Ridgid palm sander at one time and a bit of sheet metal. However, I've never been completely satisfied with this solution and have been ever on the lookout for something better.
Recently I stumbled across the containers shown below at Target. They are only $8 each! I promptly bought two (which is four actual containers) and took them home to see if I could make them work for my purposes. After brainstorming a little I decided they were worthy and got started.
Here's a pic of the packaging in case anyone wanted to look them up for themselves.
Basically I just made a paper template of the inside shape of the containers and used it to cut some sheet metal to shape. I painted it black and then glued it to the bottom of the container.
A few of my models like Harbinger are a little too tall to fit into one container so I cut half of the bottom of a second container out so models could pass into the height of the container on top.
I use one container to carry all my accessories
And here it is with all my Protectorate models ready to go
Plenty of room for expansion. I'll probably pick up some more of these containers for future models.
My upcoming Legion army
I used the case for the first time this week and I'm very pleased with it

Legion of Everblight Paint Scheme Test Model
Been slapping paint on spare models to try out different paint schemes for my Legion force I'm working on. I think I've settled on something and I painted up a Shredder to try it out on. It's not based yet and I'll probably touch up a few more things on the model, but I think I like the scheme. I am finding it difficult to photograph the blue. Lighting and background have to be just right in order for the colors to come through accurately in the picture. This is the best I could get. The colors are relatively close but the contrast in shading on the blue is a little lost and the scales just look dark red when they are really closer to a dark magenta. Anyways, I'll figure out how to photograph it better/photoshop it so it's more accurate to seeing it in person.

Starting a new army with Legion of Everblight
I've been toying with starting a Hordes faction for awhile now. I had initially settled on Circle but as I researched both factions I finally decided on Legion. I picked up the Hordes 2 player battlebox, 1 heavy beast kit, Angelius, 2 deathstalkers, sheperd, forsaken, Thagrosh 1, Absylonia, and Vayl 2. The semester's almost over and I'm looking forward to getting these all painted up.
