Over the last couple of years, especially the last year I've really started to get into painting. My skill level has increased pretty significantly over the past year as I've gotten more and more experience and I decided it was time that I stepped up to some proper high quality brushes. Many of the top painters for years swear by the Winsor & Newton Series 7 and more recently the Raphael 8404 series. After a lot of research and reading reviews on the Internet I settled on Raphael's 8404 series brushes and I went with just a #2 and #0. The first thing I noticed was how large a #2 brush really is but the point it holds is fantastic and after using them for the past few weeks, I love them! They are really making my painting easier and even a little quicker. They may be somewhat expensive; they cost me about $35 for the two but they are definitely worth it!

Legion Harrier Conversion
Simple little conversion for one of the four shredders I got in the 2 player battlebox. Used the smallest set of wings from the Angelius model.

Legion Deathstalkers
2 Deathstalkers all painted up and ready to go. Getting close to 35 pts of Legion painted and ready to play. Definitely had fun painting up these deadly ladies and I like how they came out.

Forsaken
Forsaken for my LOE army. Not overly pleased with the way this came out. It's not the worst just nowhere near my best. I found it a bit of a difficult model to paint. Not so much in time and effort but the model had lots of protruding pointy bits which made it tough to get smooth transitions in highlighting.

Angelius
Completed my second beast, Angelius for my Legion force. It's a great model but it just looks a little flat in the stock pose with its tail coiled up flat on the ground so I stretched it out and wrapped it around an ice spire to give the model more height and a more formidable pose.

This one goes out to.......
This one goes out to those who sacrificed their bodies so that others might look better, to the ones who take the discarded paint schemes, to the ones that take layers upon layers of paint without second thought, to those who will never see the table top.
This one goes out to YOU, Test Miniatures!!!

Legion of Everblight Ravagore
Painting has been a little slow going on my Legion force. Up till recently I have been painting all my beasts at the same time assembly line style. However, I just wanted to get something finished so I stopped on the Carnivean, the Angelius, and the 2 other sets of magnetized arms and heads for the heavy beast kit and just concentrated on finishing one beast body and the magnetized Ravagore arms and head. I'm happy with the way it turned out overall and my first attempt at painting flames worked out as well.

Vayl, Consul of Everblight
Finished my first model for my Legion of Everblight army. The model itself has been painted since Christmas but hadn't gotten the base done since I was waiting on some materials and doing a lot of testing for the ice effect. After much testing, achieved an effect I'm happy with.
