Legion of Everblight: Craelix

Big push right now for me getting caught up on my Legion models. With the new theme changes, this guy is a free option in two themes now so should probably have him painted I guess.

Legion of Everblight: Ice Witches

Been awhile since I posted. Haven't been painting much but have dove back in lately. Right now I'm trying to get most of my Legion models done in preparation for the theme force changes as I plan on coming back to Legion play for awhile. Ice Witches make their way into just about any list that isn't Primal Terrors so seemed a good place to start.

Legion: Thagrosh the Messiah Conversion WIP

Took a little break from painting my Convergence army to work on this Thagrosh conversion. Always loved the model but the wings that come with the model are a bit on the small side. I chose to use the wings from a Warhammer 40k Tyranid Hive Tyrant model. They are quite large, maybe even a bit too large but I think that's okay. It completely changes the look of the model.

It took me a fair bit of time to slowly remove material from the model's shoulders and the wings in order to get the fit and pose I was looking for. It came out pretty good and I'm looking forward to putting some paint on it.

Convergence of Cyriss: Frustrum Locus

This has been a welcome and useful new piece in the Clockwork Legions theme and a nice model to boot. There's no reason not to include at least one in any CL list.

Convergence of Cyriss: Obstructors

Getting caught up on posts for painting progress. Two units of Obstructors finished. These guys have been getting lots of play in my Clockwork Legions lists. Getting closer to having the entirety of the faction fully painted.

Convergence of Cyriss: Father Lucant

Still cracking away at the faction and more specifically my caster for my Clockwork Legions list, Father Lucant.
Next up will be my two units of Obstructors to round out the list and my pairing for Captaincon in a few weeks.

Convergence of Cyriss: Enigma Foundries

Getting my Clockwork Legions list all finished up and no Clockwork Legion's list would be complete without Enigma Foundries. Should have my Lucant list all finished up in the next couple weeks just in time for Captaincon.

Convergence of Cyriss: Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex

This model's name is ridiculous and more than a mouthful to say. Painted up two of these and will be using one or both in my Iron Mother list.

Convergence of Cyriss: Mitigator

Cranking along trying to get my two lists all painted and finished in time for Captaincon in a month......

Convergence: Iron Mother Directrix

Probably one of my favorite models in the faction. Planning on running a pairing with her and Lucant for upcoming tournaments and for use in the Champions format at an upcoming convention.

Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault Part 2

Finishing up the second warband included in the Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault box, Stormsire's Cursebreakers. In Part 1 I painted up the other warband included, Thorns of the Briar Queen.
Much like the Thorns warband these miniatures are very nice looking. I also appreciate the unique bases that are included and specific for each individual model. They look great and add a nice touch.

Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault Part 1

Recently picked up the new starter set for Warhammer Underworlds, Nightvault. It's a fun little game and the miniatures from Games Workshop are top notch and really fun to paint.

First up is Thorns of the Briar Queen, one of the two warbands included in the the Nightvault set. These painted pretty quickly and look great with minimal painting effort.

Part two will be up soon with the other warband in the box, Stormsire's Cursebreakers.

Convergence of Cyriss: Prime Axiom/Conflux

Kicking things off with my magnetized Prime Axiom/ Conflux.

Gaslands: Two more vehicles finished

Got two more vehicles done for Gaslands. I actually liked the graphic on the top so I masked it off with liquid mask before spraying down the rest of the car body. Added some spiky bits, couple gun barrels, and swapped out the wheels.

And a before shot straight out of the package.

Wanted to do a car that was just weathered and a little beat up rather than completely altered. I decided to keep the windshield and just add a couple cracks and dust to it.

Convergence of Cyriss: Razor Wall for Axis

I made a wall template for use with Axis to represent his Razor Wall spell. I magnetized the top to come off so that models can be placed on top when needed.

Convergence of Cyriss: Inverters

Gaslands: First cars done

Haven't even played a game yet but it's been fun and a nice change of pace from painting Warmachine or Malifuax miniatures. Getting some vehicles done and ready for the table.

And a before shot

I tore the truck apart, stripped the paint, jacked up the height to use larger wheels, and added in grates where the windows were using drywall tape. Going forward I won't be using that again. It works okay but not great. After that I added some weaponry in the back using a piece of sprue, zip ties, some brass rod, and spear quiver from Hordes miniatures.

For paint I weathered it trying the salt and hairspray technique for the first time. It came out okay but I'll do it much better next time. Then I just did a black wash and added additional rust and dirt effects.

Chose this one for my next vehicle since it was almost ready straight out of the package.

I didn't get a shot of this one beforehand but I did very little to it; the paint was already pretty good so I left it as well. I did do a brown wash over it and added rust, bare metal, and dirt effects after. I also added the three spikes to the front and the front and rear windshield grating.

Gaslands

Been following the Mad Max inspired game Gaslands for the last several weeks; watching battle reports, joined the FB group, and recently picked up the rulebook as well as some hot wheels and matchbox cars to convert.

I also dug around in my bits box for things that I could use to get that Mad Max look happening. Found some things that should work but I'll have to get creative with what I've got and do a bit of scratch building probably.

Game looks like a ton of fun and I'm looking forward to playing my first games soon after I get my first cars done.
