Space Marine Terminators: Speed Painted

Painting continues daily, slowly but surely making progress towards completing my entire collection of miniatures before year's end. This post is a nice boost. 14 Terminators finished in a pretty small window of time. I didn't keep exact time but if I had to guess I'd say about 30 min per model. For me that's as fast as it gets. I airbrush on the red armor color, brush in the rest of the base coats, and finally heavily coat the whole with a home made black wash. Nothing fancy by any means  but for the time spent I think they look pretty good.

Temple Flameguard: Second Unit

I've had a min unit of TFG sitting around for a long while that I painted quickly to a basic table top standard for league points. Not too long ago I picked up 2 blisters of TFG (now out of print due to knew plastic unit) to bring the unit up to max. Finally revisiting this and getting the entire unit painted to a better standard. This is my second unit of TFG and I want to try out a couple theme forces that utilize multiple units of TFG including Feora 1 and Severius 1.

Allegiant of the Order of the Fist

Well, not a model I expect to use much but I received the model as a gift and I'm trying to get ALL my models painted so........... here's Menoth's "Kicky Monk".

Feora Priestess of the Flame

Work continues on finishing all my Protectorate models. Here is Feora 1. This is the old classic version of the model. There's a reason it was resculpted but I must say this sculpt looks way better in black than the studio scheme.

MLBN Guest Painter: Space Marine Captain

Wanted to take some time in this post to share some work done by my nephew Eli. He's 12 years old and a very talented young man. This Space Marine Captain is his very first painted miniature. I think he did a really great job on it!

Anson Durst: Rock of the Faith

I started playing Warmachine about three years ago starting with Protectorate of Menoth. I always felt a little frustrated with the faction's weak stable of casters and no real mid line, beat your face in caster. I've always envied Khador's Butcher but nothing else about Khador appealed to me. Finally Privateer Press has given me the caster I've always wanted in Menoth. Anson brings some serious beef with his defensive feat and can kill just about anything in the game with a delicious power and strength 15 weapon master weapon. I've been having fun playing him since his rules were first spoiled and now I've finally got the model in my hands and he is now painted.

Horgenhold Forge Guard

I've had this unit for quite awhile and even painted up a min unit for points during a league at some point well over a year ago. I'm finally getting back to finishing the whole unit. Currently I'm using them in my Anson Durst list and I like taking them with Harbinger and Vindictus as well.

Menoth Attendant Priest

Continuing work on finishing all of the models I currently own. Concentrating on my Protectorate army right now. Not much left. I wanted this model to be able to use Forgeguard more effectively in Menoth. That unit of models will be following shortly after this post. After that the only thing left to paint in faction is Anson Durst, pFeora, Order of the Fist Monk, 4 Flameguard to max out a min unit, and 2 choir boys. Hoping to be finished with all those models in the next couple weeks. In the meantime here's my completed Attendant Priest.

Painting Shadows of Brimstone

I picked up Shadows of Brimstone a couple months ago and since then it has become one of my wife and I's games of choice.
So, the miniature quality certainly leaves something to be desired but painted miniatures still look ten times better than unpainted ones and are more fun to play the game with. I didn't want to spend a ton of time on these so most of the work was done with an airbrush. I spent maybe 5 hours from start to finish on all these. Considering that they look fine enough. I still have to finish the other 2 hero characters, the hungry dead, and the Harbinger model, which is actually a pretty cool model.

Legion Seraph/Neraph

Really like this model. I decided to forego the clear stand that the model comes with and instead mount it as if it were just taking flight off of an ice spire. It's obviously been magnetized so that the model can be switched between a Seraph or a Neraph. I also spent some time adding some fire to the Seraph's head to represent it's strafe fire shot. I used the Ravagore's flame part for this, cast it three times, and then cut and sculpted them together.
